not only are there record companies located around vancouver, but some of the musicians who live in hollywood north have recording studios inside their houses. sometimes they invite their musician friends over to record some songs together.

it's not uncommon to see actors and actresses in vancouver, on the sets of their latest movies or tv shows. there are always plenty of people from the press around here, too, trying to catch a glimpse of the big stars.

this theater company, founded in 1984, puts on all of the best plays in vancouver at various venues. it is very prestigious, and nearly every play they put on does well.

strangely spelt and sort of hard to pronounce, the ferry terminal is located on a long spit of land stretching out towards vancouver island. ferries that go out on the odd-numbered hours are a little bigger and have buffets on the fourth floor.

the skytrain is operates trains on two different lines. it is the world's longest automated light rapid transit system and has 33 different stations.
