in 1867, a logging sawmill contributed to the establishment of gastown; which turned into granville; and then, as the canadian pacific railway came to an end, the town's name changed again, this time to vancouver. since the late 1800's, the city has stuck to that name as it grew and grew. vancouver is now the largest city in its province, and the third largest film production center in north america. welcome to vancouver, british columbia, canada -- hollywood north.
you're here for one of two reasons. one: you're hoping to be discovered so you can live the life. and two: you've already been discovered and are already living the life. there's also that third, less glamorous reason that nobody seems to mention -- and that's that you were born here, you live here, and life is completely normal; but who wants to be included in that group? so nobody thinks about the nobodies. two reasons to be in this place -- that's enough. either way, you've got your work cut out for you. thank god even crazy dreams come true.
