-- HISTORY; Alexa Valerie Evans-Shade was born on a sunny June 28th in Maine to a fairly happy little family. For most of her toddler and early childhood years, it was just the four of them. Well.... two of them. Just her and her brother. And sometimes the occasional nanny. Growing up, it had always been Oliver and her against the world. Oliver was the one who was there when she learned how to walk, how to ride a bike, how to float on water, learned the alphabets, etc. And it was Oliver who always puts a band aid on her boo boos. Her parents, Julian and Brielle were often busy with work. If it wasn't a business trip, it was a late night surgery. Her mother, being a very well known interior designer, was often traveling here and there to meet her clients. And her father, being a sought after surgeon in the hospital, was hardly ever home. If he was ever home, it was always late in the middle of the night, and gone early in the morning.
But Alexa never complained. How could she? Her parents spoiled her with everything she wanted. There was never a day that went by that she didn't get what she wanted. Life was getting even better when random people would stop her in the mall and tell her she was the most beautiful five year old they have ever seen. Good things just kept rolling in for Alexa. She was the popular girl in class, and everybody wanted to eat lunch with her or share their snacks with her. Everybody wanted her. Now, who wouldn't want her? She was smart, beautiful, bubbly, and did I mention beautiful? But even at a young age, she often dreamed big. She knew what she wanted to do when she grew up. And that was sing and act. She entered contests, and volunteered to do the skits for class every time. So it wasn't a surprise that Alexa wasn't even the least bit devastated when her parents told her they were moving to Vancouver, BC.
That was good news for her. Everyone knows that Vancouver was the capital of stardom. Next to New York, of course, but New York might as well be at the other end of the world. Still, Alexa only thought of the positive things. Moving to Vancouver would mean her big break into a celebrity life. That girl was only six then, but that didn't stop her from wanting the life she knew she was destined for. It wasn't long before she made her first friends in Vancouver. The two girls she got to know were now her best friends. Rhiannon and Corrine have gone through everything with her. While Alexa was more like Rhiannon, and their personality should have clashed, it just seemed that because they're so similar that brought them closer. And although Alexa and Rhiannon was the complete opposite of Corinne, the bond that the three girls shared just couldn't possibly be explained.
Life was great for her. That is, until she was eleven. She knew her parents were growing distant. Her mother doing business and rarely coming home, her father always doing surgeries. The one rare time they all get to sit down and eat dinner together, they would end up fighting over something totally irrelevant and entirely stupid. Alexa wanted to say she didn't see it coming, but she did. It wasn't long before her parents decided they wanted a divorce. The second her father signed the divorce papers, her mother's bags were already packed up. She was gone before Alexa could even utter a sound. She just up and left. No goodbyes. No 'I love you's'. No anything. She just left her and her brother with her father. The blonde was devastated, and for the first time in a long time, she didn't get what she wanted. Her mother to come back. She was just gone, and neither her brother nor her ever heard from their mother again. No, that was a lie. Her mother would occasionally send a post card back to them, telling them how she was and how her life was great. And every other week, her mother would send her a check with different sums of money. It was for "child care" as her mother would like to call it.
Not that Alexa was complaining. That money was put into great use. You know, between the clothes, the make up, the expensive restaurants, and the massages. And even without her mother, she proved to everybody that she could handle herself. That she didn't need a mother to talk to, to take care of her. She was fine on her own. She turned out alright. In fact, Alexa was glad her mother left because that meant double the spoiling for her. It helped that her parents were competitive. They were always trying to outdo the other. If she couldn't get a happy tight knit family, she was going to make sure both her parents paid for all the things she couldn't have. She didn't have a problem with milking their every penny. That's what they get for abandoning her. Plus, all this spoiling was going towards her number one goal. Well.... number two goal. And that was to get Shane Purcell's attention. All she needed was better clothes, some better make up, and manipulating her way to get his attention. She has been having a crush on him since she was a little girl, and she was going to get him to like her if that was the last thing she did. Maybe audtioning for the movie and getting into her actressing/singing career will finally be what she needs to get him. She was going to do whatever it takes. If she could get a jump start on her career and get the guy, well, the saying must be true then. Beautiful girls always get what they want in the end.
